G+_Abdul Hafidz Abdul Hana
Is this subjecting western beauty standards or an algorithm that tries to increase lighting on the subject? http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q&esrc=s&source=newssearch&cd=1&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0CB0QqQIoADAA&url=http://masterherald.com/xiaomi-mi-4i-surrounded-by-controversy-over-skin-lightening-feature-in-camera-app/15880/&ei=SEREVcbZMNaPuATA2YEw&usg=AFQjCNFNkYr8bmfzx7bsRsfNbo9V-ykJUA&sig2=CnnWDdMVWgAgmkqSCoX1fQ&bvm=bv.92291466,d.c2E
G+_Leif
I think it's mainly for the market in Asia and their "beauty standards". Even some digital compact cameras have such algorithms/features there. Casio is a good example in this case. They're selling "selfi" cams there for about 1300$ (TR35) that are basically just cheap digital cameras build for selfies with such additional features/algorithms to lighten the skin.?
