G+_Joe Menchyk
I'm not sure if this is new to anyone but myself, but on the Nexus 5 running Android 5.0 you can say OK Google when the phone is locked, the screen off, and plugged into a power supply. I also had my OK Google trained, and set to be able to be used from the Lock screen. And today while I was a work I just happened to be talking to my co-worker (who has an HTC One M7) about OK Google, and my phone came to life. Is this new to anyone else but myself? G+_Joe Morrison
This is actually relatively old news. Came out a few months ago as part of a play services update so it is available on Kit-Kat too.
G+_L I
I already got one false positive on my N4
G+_Stuart Boston
Only works for US English. Doesn't work for UK
G+_Dirk Snyder
It doesn't look to be on by default. I turned off OK google recognition altogether to save battery.
G+_L I
Stuart Boston? I remember during the setup/voice training somewhere where you could download a UK English language pack along with other languages.
G+_Stuart Boston
Yes, you can set it to UK English, but that doesn't allow the "ok Google" anywhere, just when you are on the home screen
G+_L I
Stuart Boston Oh well that sucks. Hopefully they fix it soon.
G+_Stuart Boston
Well, it works (sort of) on the N9, so there's hope...
