G+_Robert Beaubien
Maybe this is related to Florence's issues with Samsung pay: Does LoopPay support Chip and PIN (EMV) cards? Yes. You can add chip cards to your LoopPay account today and use them at mag stripe readers (MSR) just like any other payment card. However, if the merchant POS terminal is configured to accept EMV cards, you will be instructed to use the physical card to make the transaction via the chip and PIN card reader. LoopPay will soon be announcing a solution that will address this inconvenience. G+_Tyler Raymond
I know on Square there is a security feature that prohibits you from using the mag-stripe on a chip compatible card when using one of Square's chip readers. I'm assuming this will be universal as a security feature, and that encoding may also be in the magnetic information given by Loop/Samsung Pay. G+_L I
Will the solution be to use NFC?
G+_Tyler Raymond
Seems that way to me Lionel D??, or at the very least mag-strip transactions have an experiation date that is yet to be determined. Samsung's loop pay is a stopgap measure at best. ?
