G+_JD Fuller
My son spiked my wife's droid charge (VZW) so I bought her a used Xperia Play from Ebay R800X (VZW). Well I didn't do my do diligence on the research aspect and assumed that since Sony has been so cooperative with the Rooting community that it would be a no brainer to root this thing and throw CM10 on it. It seems that is easier said then done. So far all I can find out is that I have to flash back from 2.3.4 to 2.3.3 to gain root access; and that there doesn't seem to be a solid Jelly Bean ROM running around for it. Can anyone point me in the right direction to getting a Solid Jelly Bean rom on this thing. P.S. I know I should have just spent the extra $50 and got her a refurb Galaxy Nexus and I wouldn't be having this problem right now, but you live and you learn! G+_Jacob “Jake” Bowen
Well the other half of the story is my wife isn't quite the enthusiast that I am, and she put a very low price ceiling on me. I couldn't have her using her old school Eris and needing to borrow my Gnex every time she wanted to price check something or download a coupon in a store.
