G+_James Armstrong
I have a Nexus 4 and wasn't a fan of the lock screen until the Dash Clock widget came out; now it's actually functional and useful without the need to scroll to the left to view a another widget. My only wish now is, I want to be able to change the lock screen wallpaper to differ from what's on my home screen. I enjoyed Widgetlocker on my S2, which allowed me to change the wallpaper on the lock screen; but find it unusable on my N4 for many reasons. Which surprises me because Nova Prime is solid and so refined. I'm hoping they'll fine tune Widgetlocker as they have with Nova so I can go back to using it again. So in the interim, I'm looking for a lightweight app, that doesn't need much more functionality than allowing me to change the wallpaper on my lock screen. It can certainly do more than just change the wallpaper as long as it doesn't create any lag or feel overly bloated, or allow you to unlock with the home button. I'm not rooted, as I was with my S2. I wanted to run stock for awhile since this is my first Nexus device. I've looked around on the Play Store and haven't had much luck so was curious as to what others are using or would recommend...If anything at all. I haven't tried Widgetlocker in about a month or so, and it looks like they've updated since then; but the reviews still seem to point to the same issues with the N4. Recommendations would be awesome!
