I'm just now noticing with the new Google Search app/Google Now, that I no longer have an option to select which cards I want displayed. I've messed around with the settings a bit, but tonight I wanted to see why my "Shipment" card wasn't displaying. I finally broke down and order the Nexus 5 and I received a shipping email today with a tracking number; and I've always received the shipping card.

I first thought since my shipment email was in my 'update tab' instead of 'primary tab' , that maybe Google doesn't monitor this tab and that's why I didn't get it. I then moved it to my 'primary tab' (in the GMail app) hoping that would fix it. It didn't...and after thinking about Google not monitoring all my tabs, it just didn't make any since.

That's when I dug into my Google Now settings and realized the section that used to allow you to select which cards you wanted and which ones you didn't was no longer there. The settings are a lot different now. I used to have a section that let me decide if I wanted the "shipment card" and now I don't.

So long story short - Does the 'shipment card' still exist? And do you're shipping emails need to be in the 'primary tab' in order for Google to display a shipping card?

But on the plus side, I'm getting more cards more often. Just seem to be missing this one.

First, I'm pretty sure the shipping method Google uses for the Play Store is not compatible with Google Now (go figure).

Secondly, I think the new app makes everything enabled, then you can disable it from the card (using the 3-dot menu on the card itself). This then adds settings to the Customize section (the magic wand) to disable that card.

Joseph Cappellino  is right. I get the shipping card from Amazon, from Microsoft, and from a few others, but not from anything from Google Play (and not from all vendors). I believe it comes down to the "recognizers" that Google has built; they have to determine that "this is a shipping notice" and be able to determine the product, tracking number, etc. and they have just not spent the time to do it with their own store yet. Which is no surprise; they still have no idea how to properly handle physical order fulfillment - although they are getting better slowly.
