So I sent this to the AAA team as a mail hoping it might get answered on the air... Since that didn't get me any luck I'll post it here and maybe someone will be able to help me:

 

 

Hi AAA Team!

 

I really love the show and, up until the last update, loved listening to it on Pocketcasts.  When they made the last update (which is a great overhaul to the UI and has lots of great functionality) they broke one of the features that was why I bought it.  In the previous version any downloaded podcast was automatically added to a playlist which I was then able to sort manually (since I listen to both MacBreak Weekly and AAA and AAA comes after MBW I always want to move it up to be the next podcast played.) With the new update you can either have a manual playlist (you add the episodes and sort manually) or an automatic playlist that can only be sorted by date.

 

I've spoken with the the pocketcasts team and they've indicated that they'll look into putting that feature back but, in case they don't, can you recommend a good podcatcher that includes functionality like this?

I use BeyondPod and love it. You can control your playlist if you want to. I do this with TNT. It's a daily show, so I always throw it to the top of the list. The app also allows for the Presto plugin, which allows for faster playback. Check out the trial as George Fromtulsa suggested.
