G+_Skip In Perth
Does anyone know is the a way to find out what reason an app has been removed from the Google Play Store - they just disappear and no explanation is provided is there a web page that logs removals with some explanations? It is really annoying. Latest example: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.floattube.app is gone now This looks like the app https://apkpure.com/float-tube-–-video-background-player/com.floattube.app, so how do I know if this app may contains undesirable things. What should I do to minimize the risk? Is there a service like http://virustotal.com which I use on Windows? Here is an older historical example: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sunshine.launcher3d is gone now. That one was triggering play store alert messages warning me there was something unacceptable in the app and that I should uninstall it the message did not explain what was wrong with the app. I have never seen this alert from the play store again. I later found out it was had been launching play store app pages to promote certain apps - which may have been the reason it was removed but it could have also been doing something else, but I guess I will never know for sure. What disturbs me is it is still here https://apkpure.com/shine-launcher-3d/com.sunshine.launcher3d on the same site which has float tube which is what I am interested in getting back if that app is safe. (Shine 3D launcher was in the app arena circa 2015 see https://twit.tv/shows/all-about-android/episodes/239?autostart=false @1:30:00 which is why I installed and ran it for many months. I had no idea it was a problem until it got removed from play store. I switched to https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tsf.shell it was probably the original ?? and shine launcher was an "evil" clone - I think) https://apkpure.com/float-tube-–-video-background-player/com.floattube.app
