G+_Paul Chepolis
Soliciting the community for advice. Bought a new/2nd gen Nexus 7 for my son who is 5 years old. Obviously, I need a case...a very protective case. I by default went to Amazon and looked for an Otterbox. Turns out that they have not released an update to their earlier version. A Google search leaves me with only fair options. Anyone know of a great case that will keep the Nexus working for my little boy? Suggestions would be appreciated. G+_Brandon K.
Wait for the Otterbox. It's the only case I use & recommend.
G+_Santos Cardona
My son who will be 5 in November, will be inheriting my Toshiba Thrive. Just took advantage of an eBay sale on a 32gb Nexus 7 refurbished for $140. Anyway, my son is no stranger to the thrive and my ipad and knows that they are to be careful with. So no bulky case needed. Just saying. Kids need to know to be careful.
G+_Marlon Thompson
I would wait for the otterbox as well, the cases are only now coming out but I expect to see a huge amount as this tablet is just so good and so well reviewed it should generate a ton of sales and as such interest for accessory makers. You can teach him to be careful but the extra protection helps.
G+_Paul Chepolis
As a veteran public school instructional technology guy, I couldn't agree more with the "respect the tech" mentality. That said, I have Otterbox cases on all of my gear b/c accidents do happen even to a 38 year-old who cannot love and appreciate the tech more. So...I fear spills and friends who will not be in my control all of the time. I REALLY appreciate all of your thoughts. This is why I love G+ so much. People engaging intelligently!
