G+_James Thatcher
Hey all... need help - this is stupid, I know... but I don't know where else to go and I can't just google the answer for some reason.... I have 2 step authentication enabled (yeah security) - but I can't get my Chrome browser to sync... I've generated an app specific password, but it keeps telling me that it's incorrect... am I doing this wrong? I feel like a freaking n00b (which I'm not... no I'm not!) but I can't get the darn thing to work and it's been like this for a while... is this an app issue or is it an ID-10-T error? Thanks -- BigJim <>
G+_Roy Delgado
Jim, I'd need to double check to verify, but I believe that I just used my standard Google password to sync Chrome. When you enter it, it will go to a page prompting for a 2 stage authentication code, but use your phone to generate one, enter it, and you should be good. Good luck. G+_Erik Huntoon
I don't know if Google changed something, but I don't seem to need to use an app specific password much at all anymore. I recently removed 2-step verification from my account and then restarted it when I flashed my phone and to sync my browsers only required entering my standard Google password as Roy Delgado already mentioned. G+_Claudio Golia
James Thatcher Clear the cache on the Authenticator app, remove the phone, re-add phone, scan barcode, and try again.
