G+_Ebuka Daniel
As we start off the 2013 batch of AAA shows I really want to challenge Jason Howell Ron Richards Gina Trapani and Chad Johnson to bring some solid apps to the arena. It would be nice to find those needles in the haystack that will stand the test of time (6+ months) and really give us new functionality on our Android devices that we might be compelled to use on a daily basis. Perhaps this Google+ community itself will be a huge help in bringing some great apps to light. To get that ball rolling her are a few of my gems... PlayTo - uses DNLA to send videos, music, and photos to my TV. Since I don't have a DNLA supported TV the Roku PlayTo channel is what my Android device ends up connecting to. Also works with Google TV and Apple TV. You can get more info at http://www.playto.com. Paid app - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dayglows.vivid.full Free app (some content restricted) - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dayglows.vivid.lite Here is one of the BEST Android apps I have ever seen developed. It's the Bible and is so cool it will make you wanna read (or listen) to the Bible on a daily basis. It's worth checking out their web version too on your desktop/laptop at http://www.youversion.com and your account syncs your bookmarks and notes automatically. It's totally free. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sirma.mobile.bible.android An awesome photo gallery replacement is QuickPic. Large thumbnails and it loads super fast and is very smooth. I use it daily. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.alensw.PicFolder Finally...Crackle. While I have both Netflix and Hulu+ subscriptions I don't have a whole lot of need for this app. But for those that don't this is a great way to stream some full length movies to your Android device for free. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gotv.crackle.handset PS - If you'd consider featuring a side loaded app then XBMC would be a solid choice. With a few added plugins you've got even greater functionality. Here is a link to a video I came across that better explains... Enjoy, and feel free to add your AAA Arena worthy apps below. G+_Richard Knuth
I went to have a look at Crackle and the first review said it didn't work anymore......
G+_Dave Bach
Richard Knuth that's weird. I just loaded up Crackle and started playing a movie just fine. Sounds like that reviewer is having a different issue specific to their device.
