G+_Ebuka Daniel
Android App to Control Another Android Device? Does such an app exist. I would like to have it connect via bluetooth too if possible. Here's the scenario... I'd like to mount a 7 inch tablet behind one of the headrests in my vehicle for my two little ones. With such cheap Android tablet's available these days it sure beats one of those big and clunky DVD systems and would be much more versatile. However, I'd like for my wife or I to be able to remote access it from one of our Android phones or another Android tablet. Because only are phones are connected to the Internet I'd like to find a solution that utilizes bluetooth. The video content will already be located on the mounted tablet so I"m not looking to actually send videos, just control it.
G+_Julie Wills
I was going to suggest installing CheapCast on the Tablet and using a WiFi hotspot on one of the phones. You could then cast the content from one of the phones. But that would only allow you to stream, not play local content from the Tablet. I wonder whether Allcast might work for you. (I'm not sure what would be needed at the Tablet end for that.) All of the Bluetooth remote control keyboards that I've seen require root.
