G+_Wayne Wheatley
So, with this Google Device Manager thing. If I enable the device administrator, does this mean that a merry prankster who grabs a browser I'm logged in on can wipe my phone without being reprompted for my password? G+_Gabriel O
It should at least prompt you for a password and PIN number or security question... =/
G+_TJ Evans
Also, backups are good ...
G+_Corey Fields
I think the wipe requires password reentry.
G+_Nestor Custodio
I know Google has gotten a lot of flak lately for saying this very thing, but: that should never happen. If a random prankster can physically sit in front of your computer while it is unlocked and you are logged in, you have failed at security and have other things to worry about besides someone wiping your phone. G+_R.C. Curtright
They could reformat reformat your hard drive instead. Let's keep those people away from our computers to begin with. :-)
G+_Nana Yaw Ofori
Aye, I know. I was just curious. I don't personally know any pranksters who are likely to do that sort of thing to me, and I know that there are a host of other terrible, horrible things that a person sitting at a computer where I'm logged in on my Google Account could do to me. I just wanted to ask "Does anyone know if the service works that way?" before enabling it, because from the help file description, I wasn't sure.
