G+_Josyd Oldham
I was just reading this article in Droid Life about HTCs problems: http://www.droid-life.com/2013/04/08/htc-continues-to-break-profit-records-in-the-wrong-direction-though/ HTC is hoping to have a hit with the release of the One. I do not think they will see it. Personally, I think if HTC were to release a phone with good hardware like the One, but without all the bloatware like Sense, have it be rootable/unlockable, essentially a Nexus phone they would have a major hit on their hands. I know they can’t put the Nexus name on it, but I am sure more people would buy it. It would be cheaper for them to produce as there would not be money spent on developing Sense. The issues I see is do you think the Carries would pick it up? What do you think? http://www.droid-life.com/2013/04/08/htc-continues-to-break-profit-records-in-the-wrong-direction-though/
G+_Daniel Charles
I recently read a good article (on the Verge, I think) about getting back to near pure Android. Basically, with all of the 3rd party launchers, lockscreens, themes, etc... you can customize your way to the best experience for you. You might not get a true Nexus-like environment, but it could be close enough or possibly "better", whatever that means for you.
