G+_Kenny “KitkatRai” Rouss
So this is how Android Pay will work apparently, honestly I'm sold on it already
G+_Joseph Cappellino
This isn't too far off from Google Wallet, but the card integration is really nice.
G+_John Adams
I use Google Wallet every morning @ Panera Bread to purchase my coffee. My server always mentions how "your phone works first time, every time" with a big smile. I keep getting a notification @ Whole Foods for $5 off but they can't figure out how to redeem it! Thanks Google, Android pay with rewards / loyalty card integration that works would be awesome!
G+_L I
But will your phone need an Internet connection?

G+_L I
Kenny Pathos The current Wallet uses Host Card Emulation which generates the token in the cloud and needs an Internet connection. Apple Pay and the old Google Wallet used the secure element on the phone which means you didn't need an Internet connection. I once paid for a meal with my Nexus 7 2012. Since one of the main reasons Google switched to HCE (Carrier-backed competitor prevented Google from accessing secure element) is now gone away (Google bought them a few months ago) I am hoping they can/will support both methods.
