Installed Lollipop on my Nexus 5, generally like it, but one great big glaring issue for me is the volume controls. What happened? I used to use the power button long press to toggle silent/vibrate/sound on all the time. It's gone?! The new controls are impossible to figure out? How do I set silent mode with no vibrate? Or vibrate only?

Anyone else confused by the volume controls?

Ron Amadeo  talks about this in his article "Android 5.0 Lollipop, thoroughly reviewed" in the section titled "Notifications and quick settings panels".  I won't try to re-explain it, but say that I agree with you about not being able to toggle the three options.  You can read for yourselves in his article. http://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2014/11/android-5-0-lollipop-thoroughly-reviewed/4/#h1

I use an app called AudioManager that lets you set different profiles that have presets for everything that can make sounds in Android.  Then, you can add these profiles as widgets.   In my setup, I have one widget called MUTE and one called NORMAL.  One tap and the phone changes to whatever settings I have assigned to that profile.  Works great.
