G+_Tony Kruse
Seems like Cyranogen violated the TOS. Do you think Google was right to ask them to remove the app from the store or not ? http://www.gev.com/2013/11/cyranogenmod-installer-app-removed-from-google-play/
G+_Michael Ricci
I think they are going to have a lot more apps to remove if they are removing them for voiding your warranty. What about all the root apps that let you install custom roms, recoveries, change your cpu speed? I think this is a bad precedent to be starting to set. ? G+_TJ Evans
Just change the app to be a set of directions for side-loading ... ATVL, they get the benefit of PR from this. IANAL - but if the ToS require a way to undo it, and this app doesn't include an undo, then that is a clear violation. _Not sure how you could "easily" undo a ROM change (aside from taking a good backup, which you should do anyway)._
G+_Robert Marshall
Actually, this didn't surprise me, especially since there is no return to stock component of the app, as was pointed out in the article.
