G+_Second Life Capture
Some things I discovered about KitKat that I really hadn't seen brought up anywhere else... 1. Adobe Flash is not supported in 3rd party browsers anymore, even if you try to sideload it. 2. Detailed battery information has been blocked from apps that use it to help detect wakelocks, so those apps are currently not working on KitKat. At least these have been my experiences on the Nexus 4 after applying the stock KitKat image.
G+_Joseph Cappellino
1. Good riddance. The less we have of this, the better, as it will force companies to use newer, more broadly available technologies, such as HTML5. 2. I think this is just that they changed the undocumented interface that apps like Better Battery Stats were using. I'm sure this will be fixed in an update. G+_Joseph Cappellino
Johan Appelgren this isn't much different than needing Root to get to the Alarms data. The workaround will just be too have root access and install the app in /system/app. I agree it's a pain, but it'll still work.
