G+_Jarrad Byron
Two things that others may find useful: 1. GitHub's hackable text editor (atom) now has a Windows Alpha (yay!): https://atom.io/ 2. I was checking out the atom blog and saw that they mentioned an user created package that gives a visual to regular expressions - a railroad diagram: https://atom.io/packages/regex-railroad-diagram. It's under development, but I can see this being useful for some who are trying to wrap their head around regular expressions. https://atom.io/packages/regex-railroad-diagram
G+_Brandon Ingli
Now that they fixed the issue of opening files from a SMB share, Atom has worked well for me and is my new favorite text editor. I found it easier to install and update via chocolatey. (like a windows apt-get. click the install via chocolatey link on atom.io to see what I mean)
